Toolboxes
Resilient NENJ developed toolboxes to summarize the various types of solutions available to increase resilience. The tools are divided into the Flood Resilience Toolbox, focused on flooding, and the Climate Hazard Resilience Toolbox, which provides solutions to address other climate-related hazards such as extreme heat and air quality.
DATA
Resilient NENJ relied heavily on publicly available datasets to understand environmental and infrastructure conditions in the region, to conduct the flood impact assessment and climate hazards assessment, and for other technical analyses to develop the Action Plan. The Data Dictionary included in the Excel file below provides a list of datasets that were used by Resilient NENJ along with several that were developed through the project and are available for your use. The table provides descriptions for each dataset and indicates whether the data are available from a public online portal (and provides the link) or through the download links below. The description and data source columns of the table clarify whether the dataset was something used or developed by the project team.
Data files for download
Most datasets used by Resilient NENJ are linked in the Data Dictionary above. Click the links below for several datasets for which links are not available or that were modified or developed by Resilient NENJ. See the Data Dictionary for detail on the sources of the below datasets.

MEETINGS-IN-A-BOX
Meeting-in-a-box – Wave 1
This slide deck is for your use to hold your own meetings or discussions about flooding and resilience. The PowerPoint file includes speaker notes with additional project details for your reference.
Meeting-in-a-box – Wave 3
These presentations show the different solutions we evaluated for development of the Action Plan. The solutions were organized into “scenarios,” or suites of solutions. The presentations are divided by city and groups of neighborhoods. Some speakers notes are included within the PDFs to help guide discussion. While the recommendations in the Action Plan replaced the solutions in these presentations, these materials are helpful for showing our process and the alternatives that we considered.
